The new online store for Sea Gull Century built using a customized platform called Magento. Magento is one of the fastest growing eCommerce platforms on the market today; it allows businesses to seamlessly and efficiently launch and maintain an online store. Magento gives the event coordinators the ability to update products, details, specials, prices and other content with ease. This helps ensure that the inventory is fresh and up-to-date. Overall, the new site design is easier to navigate and provides shoppers more intuitive product categories, better product images and easier to read descriptions.

 

The Sea Gull Century has become a popular fundraising event for such non-profits as Women Supporting Women, Habitat for Humanity and the Alzheimer’s Association. The ride is Wicomico County’s largest one-day tourism event and has an estimated annual economic impact on the Lower Shore of $2.5 million.

Delivery is available to all 50 states and the Armed Forces … so you can send a yummy treat to friends, family and those fighting for our country!

 

Classic Cakes, located in Salisbury, MD, is owned and operated by Dana Evans, a Smith Island native. Dana began making the traditional (and famous) Smith Island cakes from the time she was a young girl growing up on Smith Island. They make many varieties of Smith Island cakes, along with wedding, party and celebration cakes.
