Make sure you create really strong passwords. Hackers and online thieves are getting smarter and smarter these days so make sure your passwords are longer and a hard-to-guess mix of numbers, letters, symbols … with no personal ties.
Make sure that all employees at your organization have secure passwords. Ensure they are not using passwords with personal ties, like a pet or child’s name or anything super simple like 123456 or password. Change passwords regularly – the norm in the IT world is every 90 days. Here are a few examples:
- T@yl0r#M@d3! (taylor#made!)
- $m3llycat!! (smellycat)
- 1c3cr34m (icecream)
